while we had free time with the kiddies, there is a play station where the kiddies can play with felt fabric, one child wanted to make a pumpkin, another wanted to make a snow man, and another wanted to make boots, so I too that moment to get the scissors so they can create what they wanted. I thought this was a good moment for them to work on their motor skills, my educator mentioned it’s a little more difficult than paper, and I agree, but I learned something. Yes, always a good opportunity to observe what child can and cannot yet do. Sometimes it just for lack of opportunity other times its lack of interest, too challenging or just not ready.

Outdoor play, I just wanted to follow up with the snow. the same child came to me with snow. I was happy to hear that he remembered puq-white, I followed up with Maqa7-snow. The child tried to hand me the snow but I mentioned that it was too cold for me to hold, he wanted me to put it in my pocket, I told him it could melt if it put it in my pocket, so, educator told the child to put the snow in the sun and see what happens, he placed the snow on the table in the sun and slowly the snow began to melt, child started to get impatient so I asked child what would happed if we were to place the snow on our hands, so I put what was left over on my hand and we watched, it fully melted. child can’t wait for more snow. Yes, there is something magical about snow.

I found that I needed to learn more about rhymes and songs. It’s been a long time and I don’t remember much. Once again good goal for next practicum to relearn some children’s songs and rhymes.
