My first day, I mostly did observations, getting to know everyone’s names. I felt awkward when I wanted to call a kiddie and let them know what they shouldn’t be doing at the time, but i forgot their name. also, when a child was starting to bang hard on a toy, I wasn’t sure how to handle the situation and I didn’t want to feel like I was stepping on any toys.
I was really happy to teach the kiddies some of the Statimc language as well as the educators. I’m excited to learn some more of the language as they teach what they know as well.
When we went outside with the kiddies, a child came to me and said white! I responded with puq-white, the child repeated the language and then I went to say Maqa7-snow, the child repeated the langauge again, it made me smile.
I am happy to be apart of this crew!
Sounds like it turned out to be a good first day and so glad you are feeling confident to provide opportunities for the children not kiddies to learn Statimic language!!!!
